Do you remember this painting from our last post?
Although Mathilde liked what I had done with her photograph, I didn’t feel I had done it justice and so promised to rework it. I felt that the painting I had produced had captured the magnitude within the photograph, possibly because of seeing the other photos that accompanied it, possibly because to my imagination and from Mathilde’s description, I envisaged wide open grandeur - the sense of being on top of the world.
I decided to reproduce the piece as a digital painting, as I enjoy using ProCreate on the iPad to paint layered landscapes that have a vintage, train station appeal.
It has taken me a while, please do comment and let me know what you think! Which do you prefer: the hand-painted or the digital?
Coming up also this week:
